Supporting Families & Unpaid Carers
At Sphere Specialist Healthcare, we believe that providing great care means supporting not only the person receiving care, but the people who are important to them too.
We understand that welcoming care professionals into your home can feel like a significant change, particularly at the beginning. Caring for someone you love can also be incredibly rewarding, but it can bring physical and emotional demands. That is why we see family members, friends, unpaid carers and our care team as partners, working together around the individual.
Our support workers are there not only to provide high-quality care, but also to listen, reassure and support those around the person we care for. We want family and unpaid carers to be able to maintain their own health, wellbeing, relationships and responsibilities, knowing their loved one is safe and well supported.
Sometimes, having a break is an important part of continuing to care. Our flexible respite support can be tailored around you and your family — whether that means a couple of hours each week to meet friends or attend appointments, overnight care so you can have an uninterrupted night’s sleep, or longer and more regular periods of support.
Respite can be planned in advance or, where possible, arranged at short notice when circumstances unexpectedly change, giving you reassurance that support is there when you need it.
Because caring for the carer matters too.
